To mark the 35th anniversary of its famous Promaster collection, Citizen is unveiling three new limited edition variations, each representing a universe: the sea, the earth and the air. A beautiful tribute to the versatility and robustness of these watches designed for action.
Promaster Sea: a Fujitsubo revisited in blue and Duratect Platinum titanium
To represent the marine world, Citizen chose its legendary Mechanical Diver 200m, nicknamed โFujitsuboโ or โChallenge Diverโ. This limited edition of 4,500 pieces features an attractive blue dial, a light blue-rimmed bezel and a Duratect Platinum surface treatment on the titanium case and bracelet, offering increased scratch resistance (1000-1200 Hv).
Available this month at a price of $1,195, this anniversary Fujitsubo retains its dimensions of 41 x 12.3 x 48.5 mm and its 9051 automatic movement, with the added bonus of a special โ35 years Promasterโ case back.
Promaster Land: a tactical ana-digi equipped with the new U680 caliber
Fans of ana-digi watches will be delighted by this 43.9mm terrestrial novelty, featuring the all-new U680 movement with high-resolution MIP display. Water-resistant to 200 meters, this Promaster Land offers multiple functions (world time, chronograph, alarm, perpetual calendar, LED backlight, etc.) and will be sold for $995 starting in August, in just 5,900 copies, with a steel bracelet and an interchangeable Cordura nylon strap.
Promaster Air: a Skyhawk A-T in gray plated steel for 35 years
Finally, the aerial universe is represented by a Skyhawk A-T measuring 45.7 mm x 13.8 mm in gray plated steel, powered by an Eco-Drive movement with radio-controlled synchronization. Also waterproof to 200 meters, this Promaster Air offers numerous features dedicated to travel and will be marketed in September at a price of $995, in a limited edition of 5,600 pieces.
An anniversary marked by adventure and innovation
While we may regret that the Land and Air models are not offered in smaller dimensions (under 41 mm), this trio of limited editions remains faithful to the Promaster spirit, synonymous with robustness, reliability and versatility.
The Promaster Land caliber U680 opens new perspectives in terms of ana-digi watches, thanks to its promising high-resolution display. We can bet that Citizen will be able to exploit the full potential of this movement in future creations!
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the collection, Citizen is also expanding its team of Promaster ambassadors, with the arrival of base jumper and paraglider Jeff Shapiro (Air), photographer-explorer Jody MacDonald (Sea), alongside the talented photographer William Drumm, and legendary Canadian climber Will Gadd (Land).
A great way to remind us that Promaster watches are designed to accompany adventurers in their exploits, whether they take place on land, at sea or in the air. Make an appointment to discover these new products on the wrist and see how Citizen will continue to develop this cult range!
