Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera spreads its stork wings for its 120th anniversary!

To celebrate its 120th anniversary, Hispano Suiza is unveiling a new version of its 1,100 hp electric hypercar: the Carmen Sagrera. On the program, an XXL rear wing inspired by stork wings, a more generous battery and still impressive performance.

A unique look with a โ€œstork wingsโ€-style fin

The Carmen Sagrera takes up the sculpted lines of the Carmen that made it so successful, with a few distinctive touches. The most notable is undoubtedly its imposing rear wing, the shape of which is reminiscent of the wings of a stork in flight.

We also find a diffuser inspired by the Boulogne version, decorated with copper details, as well as new air intakes on the hood. According to Hispano Suiza, these refined aerodynamic elements significantly increase downforce and grip, thus improving cornering behavior and lateral acceleration.

The matte โ€œCava Goldโ€ color adorns the bodywork, while the interior is adorned with leather and Alcantara.

A connected and customizable cockpit

Inside, the center console has been redesigned to accommodate a new infotainment system with the latest connectivity features. It is even capable of displaying personalized welcome messages for each user.

More autonomy thanks to a 103 kWh battery

The main technical evolution of the Sagrera is hidden under the hood. Its lithium-ion battery increases from 80 to 103 kWh, which allows it to offer up to 480 km of autonomy according to the WLTP cycle (compared to 400 km previously).

Developed and manufactured in Barcelona by Hispano Suiza, this T-shaped battery pack weighs 612 kg and operates at a maximum voltage of over 750 VDC. It is associated with a lighter and more ecological cooling system. In addition to boosting autonomy, this new battery would optimize mass distribution and dynamism.

1,100 hp and 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds

In terms of performance, the Carmen Sagrera takes over the powertrain from the Carmen Boulogne. Its four electric motors develop a cumulative power of 1,100 hp (820 kW) for a torque of 1,160 Nm. Enough to catapult the hypercar from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds!

It also benefits from a virtual self-locking differential on the rear axle, an adjustable suspension made of lightweight materials and reinforced carbon-ceramic brakes with better cooling.

Launch at Goodwood in July 2023

Unveiled as part of the 120th anniversary of Hispano Suiza, the Carmen Sagrera will make its first dynamic laps at the Goodwood Festival of Speed โ€‹โ€‹next July.

With this new, even more exclusive version, Hispano Suiza intends to accelerate its development in 2023, particularly in the United States, while completing the European approval of its Carmen. See you this summer to discover this electric stork in action!
