a hybrid convertible as efficient as a coupe, a first for the brand!

The new McLaren Artura Spider hybrid is the lightest convertible in its category. With its roof that retracts in seconds and its twin-turbo V6 engine combined with an electric motor, this supercar offers breathtaking performance without sacrificing driving pleasure. A true technological feat from McLaren.

Clean, aerodynamic design, even open roof

Unlike many convertibles, the Artura Spider loses none of its elegance once the roof is folded. Its fluid lines and balanced proportions are preserved thanks to meticulous work on aerodynamics. Small details, such as the air deflectors on the windshield, help reduce turbulence in the cabin at high speeds.

Style-wise, the silhouette of the Artura Spider remains faithful to the McLaren DNA:

  • Butterfly doors that open upwards
  • Slender headlights incorporating the latest LED technology
  • 20-inch front and 21-inch rear light alloy wheels
  • An ultra-rigid carbon fiber chassis

One of the strong points of the McLaren Artura Spider lies in its carbon fiber monocoque chassis, called MCLA (McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture). This extremely rigid structure was designed from the ground up to fit both a coupe and a convertible, without compromising on handling or safety.

Result: with only 136 kg more than the coupe, the Artura Spider is the lightest convertible in its segment. An undeniable asset for preserving the agility and driving sensations specific to the British brand's models.

    A high-performance hybrid powertrain

Under the hood of the Artura Spider, we find the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 inaugurated on the coupe version. Associated with an electric motor developing 95 hp, the unit delivers a combined power of 680 hp and a maximum torque of 720 Nm. Impressive figures which place this McLaren hybrid at the level of the best thermal sports cars.

Transmission is provided by a new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, specially designed to match the electric motor. 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 3.0 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 330 km/h. And thanks to its 7.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, the Artura Spider can even travel around thirty kilometers in 100% electric mode.

Driving behavior worthy of a racing car

True to McLaren's reputation, the Artura Spider offers exceptional dynamic behavior, both on the road and on the track. Its Proactive Damping Control II active suspension and electronic power steering offer a perfect balance between comfort and precision.

Depending on the driver's wishes, three driving modes are offered:

  • Electric: for 100% electric driving, up to 130 km/h
  • Comfort: for daily use, with optimized management of the thermal engine and the electric motor
  • Sport and Track: to exploit the full potential of the car, with even more incisive response from the accelerator and chassis
  • With its retractable roof in 11 seconds up to 50 km/h, its very high level of performance and its latest on-board technologies, the McLaren Artura Spider reinvents the pleasure of driving at the wheel of a hybrid convertible. A new benchmark in the very select world of supercars, sold from โ‚ฌ256,500 in France.
