a racing car costing more than €500,000 and already a second model in preparation!

The Maranello manufacturer is preparing to enter the electric era with an exceptional model whose price should exceed half a million euros. A revolution for the prancing horse brand which is already preparing its second 100% electric car.

A stratospheric price for the first electric Ferrari

According to sources close to the matter cited by Reuters, the first fully electric Ferrari should be marketed at a base price of at least €500,000. A price which would place it among the most expensive models in the current range, just behind:

  • The SF90 Stradale hybrid (from €525,000)
  • The limited edition Daytona SP3 (2.3 million euros)
  • It should be noted that this base price does not include the numerous options and customizations dear to Ferrari customers, which can easily increase the bill by an additional 15 to 20%.

An electric supercar faithful to Ferrari DNA

Although the technical details still remain confidential, Ferrari seems determined to offer a driving experience worthy of its reputation, despite the absence of a thermal engine. Emanuele Carando, the brand's global marketing director, recently claimed that this first electric Ferrari would produce the same characteristic roar as its gasoline sisters, although he did not specify how this feat would be achieved.

A launch planned for the end of 2025

The official presentation of this first 100% electric model is scheduled for the end of 2025. This relatively close deadline shows Ferrari's desire not to be left behind in the race for the electrification of the luxury sports car segment.

A second electric model already in development

Ferrari's electrification strategy doesn't stop there. According to the same sources, a second electric model is already under development, although at a very early stage. This information confirms the Italian manufacturer's desire to make a lasting commitment to electric mobility.

    Limited production to preserve exclusivity

Despite this diversification of its range, Ferrari intends to maintain its status as an ultra-exclusive brand. Total annual production is expected to remain below 20,000 vehicles, all engines combined, in the near future.

    The V12 is not dead

If Ferrari is actively preparing its electric shift, the brand is not abandoning its roots. Emanuele Carando has confirmed that the production of V12 engines, emblematic of the Ferrari sound, will continue until their possible ban.

A bold bet in an uncertain market

While some high-end sports car manufacturers, such as Aston Martin, are questioning their customers' appetite for electric vehicles, Ferrari seems confident in its strategy. The Italian brand can draw on its experience in hybridization, initiated in 2013 with the LaFerrari, to calmly tackle this new technological challenge.

The first electric Ferrari promises to be a major turning point in the history of the Maranello brand. With a stratospheric price and performance that promises to be exceptional, it should quickly establish itself as a benchmark in the world of electric supercars. Prancing horse enthusiasts are impatiently waiting to discover how Ferrari will manage to preserve the soul and unique sensations of its cars in this new electric era.
