A well-known leaker has just published the detailed specifications of Samsung's upcoming smartwatches, as well as their launch prices. Enough to build up the pressure before the official presentation scheduled for next week.
Precise information on future models
While Samsung isn't expected to announce its new devices until next week, a reliable leaker has just shared the full specs sheets of not only the 40mm and 44mm variants of the Galaxy Watch 7, but also the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This information confirms and complements the many leaks of the last few weeks, including those from Evan Blass.
Galaxy Watch 7: two sizes on the program
The spec sheet confirms the existence of two Galaxy Watch 7 models, distinguished by their 40mm and 44mm case sizes. Unsurprisingly, Samsung also differentiates them by their battery capacities:
Galaxy Watch Ultra: a unique model designed for adventure
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is presented in a single size of 47 mm. It would have a 590 mAh battery, the same capacity as the old Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. However, the integration of a new Exynos W1000 chip should improve autonomy.
Despite its high-end positioning, the watch would retain a water resistance limited to 50 meters, although it is announced as resistant to 10 ATM.
Prices increase for the new range
Leaker @billbil_kun also shared the expected launch prices in Europe for these new smartwatches:
These prices suggest a slight increase compared to the previous generation, particularly for the Ultra model which is clearly positioned in the premium segment.
An imminent presentation
Although Samsung has not yet officially announced a date, the presentation of these new smartwatches is expected for next week. It should be accompanied by the unveiling of other products such as the Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
These last-minute leaks are fueling interest in Samsung's upcoming smartwatches. With their technical improvements and new features, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra are shaping up to be serious competitors for the Apple Watch. It remains to be seen whether these features will be confirmed during the official presentation and whether they will be enough to convince consumers in the face of increasingly fierce competition in the smartwatch market.
