The Apple Watch Series 10, also known as the Apple Watch X, is expected to receive both aesthetic and internal improvements, marking a decade of innovation in these devices.
Celebrating ten years of the Apple Watch
As Apple prepares to launch its tenth line of smartwatches, it appears the Apple Watch X is celebrating the devices' tenth anniversary. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, often a reliable go-to for Apple rumors, wrote in his Power On newsletter that several specific improvements are in the works.
A new big screen
The first upgrade is a larger display, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra, but without the higher price tag. Gurman also reports that the Apple Watch Series 10 will come in two variants, currently called the N217 and N218, which will include larger dial options.
Slimmer but familiar design
It is also rumored that the Apple Watch X will be thinner than the previous one, although the overall design remains virtually unchanged. We can guess that the proportions of the smartwatch could evolve, but the overall appearance will remain consistent with previous models.
New chip and improved features
Last but not least, the Series 10 is believed to get a new chip, offering opportunities for Apple's intelligence and greater AI compatibility. There could also be more health-tracking features, like a blood pressure sensor and a sleep apnea app, though according to Gurman, Apple faces “some serious hurdles” in developing these tools.
Apple watch x release date
Nothing is certain about the Apple Watch X yet, but it is likely that it will be presented alongside the next iPhone in September. This event should clarify all the details about the Apple Watch Series 10 before its official launch.
Given that the official launch of the first Apple Watch took place on April 24, 2015, Apple will have until next year to launch this new model and make this decade a true celebration.
