The luxury watch that caused a sensation at Wimbledon: a watch jewel for tennis fans!

An unexpected collaboration between a renowned Swiss watchmaker and a tennis magazine has just given birth to an exceptional watch. Unveiled in the heart of the Wimbledon tournament, this unique piece combines watchmaking elegance and a passion for tennis. Delve into the details of this creation that is already thrilling fans of beautiful watches and the little yellow ball.

A design that pays homage to the Wimbledon courts

The Rallymaster III, the result of the collaboration between Maurice de Mauriac and Racquet magazine, sports a resolutely tennis style. Its textured olive green dial instantly evokes the legendary grass of the Wimbledon courts. A white net crosses the dial, subtly recalling the world of tennis.

The 39 mm diameter brushed stainless steel case offers ideal proportions for most wrists. The 18K rose gold winding crown, a first for the Rallymaster line, adds an extra touch of luxury.

Details that will make enthusiasts crack

The rose gold tennis ball-shaped indexes are coated with Swiss blue Super-LumiNova, as are the main hands and the cardinal points on the flange. The seconds counter at 9 o'clock, divided into 20-second segments, glows with a yellow glow reminiscent of a tennis ball.

The caseback features a retro Rallymaster logo, featuring green rackets framing a pink ball. This playful design partially conceals the Swiss Calibre Landeron 24 movement, based on the ETA 2824, which powers the watch with a 40-hour power reserve.

Wearing comfort worthy of a champion

The Rallymaster III comes with two interchangeable straps:โ€“ A beige grained calfskin strapโ€“ A matching elastic strap

Both options feature a quick-change system, making it easy to switch between them depending on the occasion. This versatility fits perfectly with the sporty and elegant spirit of the watch.

A limited edition that arouses covetousness

Limited to just 100 pieces, the Rallymaster III is already shaping up to be a sought-after collector's item. Its $2,400 price tag positions it in the affordable luxury watch segment, a strategic choice to appeal to both watch enthusiasts and tennis fans.

The watch is presented in a refined case also containing a pink tennis ball, an additional nod to the world of tennis that is sure to make buyers smile.

A thematic watch that avoids the pitfalls of kitsch

Despite its many references to tennis, the Rallymaster III manages to retain a certain elegance. Its design, inspired by vintage chronographs from the 60s and 70s, gives it a strong identity without falling into caricature.

Carlton DeWoody, the designer behind the creation, explains that he sought to “bridge the past and present, reinterpreting a classic design with a contemporary perspective.” The result is a watch that will appeal beyond the circle of tennis aficionados.

The Rallymaster III by Maurice de Mauriac x Racquet stands out as much more than just a thematic watch. It embodies the successful encounter between precision Swiss watchmaking and a passion for tennis. With its neat design and clever features, it has all the assets to become a modern classic, prized by collectors and lovers of beautiful objects. A piece that promises to make headlines well beyond the Wimbledon fortnight.
