A new chapter in watchmaking

Holthinrichs, founded in 2016 by Michiel Holthinrichs, has quickly taken a prominent place in the world of luxury watchmaking. With a background in architecture and a passion for design, Michiel has combined art and engineering to create unique watches, leaving his architectural mark on the sector.

Delft: cradle of innovation

Located in the Netherlands, the historic city of Delft is not only famous for its ceramics but also as a center of technological innovation thanks to its renowned university. It is in this melting pot of creativity that Michiel started his business, alongside his studies and his passion for vintage watches.

The beginning of Holthinrichs Watches

Michielโ€™s approach, which combines design elements from various disciplines, resulted in Holthinrichs Watches. The first model, the Ornament, was notable for its intricate and elegant case, designed via 3D printing, and a carefully assembled manual movement.

3D Innovation: Beyond Titanium

Over the years, Holthinrichs has expanded its repertoire with 3D printed gold and platinum watches, with each model becoming bolder and more expressive, using raw finishes that highlight the unique texture left by 3D printing.

The liminality series

The Liminality series, inspired by the fleeting moments following a major impact, introduced even bolder designs and increased complexity, featuring skeletonized copper bridges and meticulous hand-finishing.

DECONSTRUCTED: A work of art on the wrist

The DECONSTRUCTED model stands out with its redesigned case and a 3D-printed titanium bracelet, offering a unique aesthetic inspired by Art Nouveau and modernist architecture.

The new jewel: new ornament

The culmination of several years of development, the Ornament Nouveau incorporates a movement designed and produced entirely in the Netherlands, a first for Holthinrichs. This movement, the HW-M02 caliber, is a true technical feat with its meticulously sculpted and assembled components.

Design and functionality

The watch is encapsulated in a grade 5 titanium case, with a design that continues to defy convention. Time indications are minimal, focusing on the hour and minutes, to highlight the functional elegance of the whole.

A dial that changes with light

The Ornament Nouveauโ€™s Eclipse dial offers a variable visual experience, changing hue under UV light. This innovative dial symbolises Holthinrichsโ€™ constant quest to push the boundaries of traditional watchmaking.
