In the exclusive world of hypercars, a new star is about to shine. The Nilu, a bold creation from designer Sasha Selipanov, promises to redefine the segmentโ€™s standards with its radical approach and commitment to a pure driving experience. This article delves into this exceptional machine, revealing its secrets and exploring its revolutionary potential.

An exceptional pedigree

The automotive world is holding its breath as August 18 approaches, when the Nilu will make its public debut at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours dโ€™Elegance. Itโ€™s not every day that a newcomer shakes up the established order of hypercar manufacturers, but the Nilu has one major advantage: its creator, Sasha Selipanov.

The renowned designer has left his mark on modern icons such as the Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Gemera and Lamborghini Huracรกn. With this unparalleled experience, Selipanov founded Nilu27, an ambitious start-up whose first-born promises to shake the very foundations of the hypercar segment.

Design: the art of performance

The Nilu stands out with its breathtaking design, combining organic shapes and advanced aerodynamics. Its low and aggressive profile echoes the Le Mans Prototypes, while its flowing lines evoke contained power ready to be unleashed.

The front, devoid of a traditional grille, sports two air intakes cleverly integrated into the shield, optimizing airflow. The generous wings house 20-inch rims at the front and 21-inch at the rear, emphasizing the vehicle's dominant stance. The passenger compartment, a true futuristic cockpit, is accessible via gullwing doors, reinforcing the spectacular look of the whole.

The Niluโ€™s rear end is arguably its most striking aspect. Devoid of conventional bumpers and diffuser, it exposes the rear wheels and features a raised central triple exhaust, creating a unique visual signature reminiscent of endurance racing cars.

The interior: back to basics

The Niluโ€™s cabin is a manifesto against technological overkill. In a bold move, Selipanov has banished all digital screens, opting for a minimalist dashboard adorned with four analogue dials flanking the steering wheel. This purist approach aims to create an intimate connection between driver and machine, recalling the golden age of analogue sports cars.

The two-seater configuration underlines the sporty vocation of the Nilu, while the generous use of noble materials such as leather, aluminum and carbon fiber creates a luxurious and high-performance ambience.

Under the hood: pure power

At the heart of the Nilu beats a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, developed by Hartley Engines. This exceptional unit promises to deliver over 1000 hp, with a maximum torque of 860 Nm. The raw power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed manual gearbox, a bold choice in the age of automation.

The carbon fibre monocoque chassis keeps the weight to just 1200kg, promising an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. While exact performance is yet to be confirmed, Nilu27 claims a top speed in excess of 400km/h.

Exclusivity and future prospects

Originally designed as a track car, the Nilu will be produced in an ultra-limited series of 15 units. This extreme exclusivity should attract the interest of collectors and enthusiasts around the world.

Nilu27 is also considering a road-legal version, limited to 54 units, thus expanding access to this mechanical work of art. Although the price remains a mystery, it is certain that the Nilu will position itself among the most exclusive and expensive vehicles on the market.

A challenge to conventions

The Nilu is more than just a hypercar. It is a statement of intent, a return to the core values โ€‹โ€‹of sporty driving in an increasingly digitalized world. By prioritizing driver engagement and pure sensations, Sasha Selipanov and his team at Nilu27 are launching a bold challenge to the automotive industry.

As the world eagerly awaits the official unveiling at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, one thing is certain: the Nilu will mark a turning point in the history of hypercars, reminding everyone that automotive passion transcends mere technology.

This exceptional car promises not only stratospheric performance, but also an unparalleled driving experience, pushing the boundaries of what a modern sports car can offer. The Nilu promises to be a rare phenomenon, a vehicle that will captivate sports car enthusiasts for generations.
