Akshay Kumar told about dowry retrieval, said – some people also call it gift and resolution



Akshay Kumar’s film Rakshabandhan is out on Friday. The film is based on the brother-sister relationship and is released on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. In the movie, Akshay plays the character of a man who has 4 sisters and he has the responsibility to marry these sisters. But there are a lot of problems in their marriage. Now Akshay opened up about the dowry in an interview ahead of the movie’s release. He said that through this film, it will tell how dowry is sought in India even today.

He also said that dowry is like extortion. Akshay said, “We cannot ignore the fact that even today dowry is demanded in India. It has many layers. Some call the dowry a gift and some call it a resolution. He has many names. Someone says they want a big wedding. So I call it recovery. A father and a brother spend more than their capacity to marry.

Akshay also called Rakshabandhan a sensitive film. He said that few films are made on this subject. If even 5 or 10% of people watch movies and it sends a message to people, then I will feel like I made the greatest movie.

Let us inform that Raksha Bandhan is released on July 11 and that Bhumi Pednekar also plays the main role in this film. On the other hand, Sadia Khatib, Shaheezmin Kaur, Deepika Khanna and Smriti Shrikant play the role of Akshay’s sister.
