A Persona 3 remake is reportedly real and in development
It’s been a surprisingly busy few days for Persona fans. In case you missed it, supposedly leaked Persona 3 Remake gameplay footage went viral on the likes of Reddit and social media. The incredibly short clip shows party member Yukari summoning her persona and unleashing a flurry of magical arrows — and in general, the animation and model quality looks good enough to be a legitimate leak. .
Naturally, this footage has sparked a whole debate about the rumored remake. Previous rumors have originated from industry ‘insiders’ – the classic “trust me bro” approach – making them hard to fully believe.
However, with ‘leaks’ on the web, proven, reliable sources have started to weigh in. Gematsu One such source is, stating on Twitter: “While we can’t confirm the footage ourselves, Gematsu understands that a Persona 3 remake has been in development at Atlus for several years.” If Gematsu says it’s actually happening, it probably is.
And then it gets the juicer too. Twitter users @MbKKssTBhz5 A recently registered website named p3re.jp has grabbed the domain — and it’s listed under the same provider as the official Persona 5 Royale site.
In short, it is very likely that the Persona 3 remake is the real deal. Now, it’s just a question of when it will be announced – and for which platforms.
