A Red Dead Redemption Revival Is Looking More and More Likely as Evidence Mounts
Recent whispers around the web have suggested that Rockstar Games is on the verge of announcing the resurrection of its PS3 classic, Red Dead Redemption. While we could initially write it off as little more than a rumor, we’re now seeing signs from multiple places that give it more and more legitimacy.
Things really took off on this topic when the Korean Rating Board listed a brand new rating for Red Dead Redemption. That alone highly suggests a release on modern consoles, though it doesn’t tell us whether to expect a simple port or something more substantial like a remaster.
Anyway, since then, a few other things have happened. On Rockstar Social Club, achievements for Open World Westerns have been recently updated. This is a very good step for a 13-year-old game. Now, Colin Moriarty, speaking on his podcast sacred signClaims to have seen evidence that it is indeed real, and expect an announcement in early August.
If that wasn’t enough, a statement from a take-two interactive earnings call has been dug up and Shared on Twitter, revealing the publisher’s plan to release “two new iterations of previously-released titles in 2024.” Of course, one of those could be Red Dead Redemption.
With all these signs and clues together, it seems very likely to be true. Again, the Korean ratings alone are enough to tell us something’s coming – they don’t list things just for fun – but with all this additional evidence, it looks like we’re closer to John Marston. will spend time the future
