Aragami developer Lince works has unfortunately closed in April
Barcelona-based indie developer Linus Works will close its doors this April, the company has confirmed. The sad news broke earlier today, when the studio released a statement about its current situation.
Linus Works explains: “The last few years have been particularly difficult as we’ve moved on to the development of new IP and a new course for the company. We’ve been ambitious about what we wanted to achieve as a studio. But sadly, although we made good progress, the economic context was not favorable and we ran out of time.”
It continued: “It breaks our hearts to know that all the work we have done for the past year will not finally come to fruition.”
It’s always a shame to see a development team let it go, especially when the studio’s previous projects were warmly received. Lince Works is known for the stealth action title Aragami (2016) and its sequel, Aragami 2 (2021).
“We will forever be grateful to our community and players around the world,” Linus Works writes. It also assures potential players that Aragami and Aragami 2 will remain available on all platforms, complete with online co-op functionality.
We wish everyone at Lince Works all the best for the future.
