Assassin’s Creed Syndicate patch finally fixes PS5 flickering issue, out now
Update: The long, long-awaited fix for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s shock issue is now available for download. This is only a small update for the PS4 version of the game, but it should eliminate the aforementioned graphical bug when you’re running Syndicateon PS5 via backwards compatibility. Huzzah!
Original story: Wow, it’s actually happening: Ubisoft will deploy a patch for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS4 tomorrow (that’s February 23rd) that will Finally Fix the game’s flickering visuals when played via backwards compatibility on PS5.
In case you didn’t know, the London-based adventure suffers from an annoying frequent graphical bug that makes buildings and other environmental assets ‘flicker’. That is, from being properly colored to completely exposed, repeatedly in quick succession. Many would argue that this makes the game borderline playable at its worst, as it can be extremely distracting.
The problem has been around since the launch of Sony’s current-generation system, with Syndicate being one of the very few PS4 games to have significant issues when running on the PS5. Better late than never, we believe!
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate didn’t set the world alight when it was first released in 2015. Actually, it approx Helped bury the franchise before Assassin’s Creed Origins arrived and revitalized the formula. However, the more ‘traditional’ Assassin’s Creed blueprint has regained popularity with fans over the past few years, with the series’ more recent installments opting for an open world RPG structure. Due to which games like Syndicate are being appreciated everywhere.
