With Tales of Symphonia Remastered set to drop next month, Bandai Namco has published an FAQ section on the Japanese Tales website. It’s pretty standard stuff – as you’d expect from official press material – but one question in particular has caught the attention of franchise fans.
When asked about the possibility of more Tales Remasters, the developer openly says that it can happen. Translated by Everything NintendoThe quote is as follows: “We hear from many passionate fans of the series around the world who want to play the old story games on the latest platforms. We as a team thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We are currently focused on the release of Tales of Symphonia Remastered, but we look forward to your suggestions and requests in the future.”
Bandai Namco has been on a remaster binge for the past few years, so we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it agree to re-release its back catalog. In particular, there are a bunch of Tales titles that you can’t play on current consoles. Tales of Zilia and Tales of the Abyss come to mind
