Ever wanted to fight alongside Optimus Prime et al? Well now is your chance, courtesy of Transformers Beyond Reality PSVR2. Put in a surprised look on PS Store Today, the arcade-inspired first-person shooter has been heavily upgraded thanks to Sony’s cutting-edge technology, making the experience deeper than ever.

Among the upgrades, you can expect better visual fidelity, with no stutter or dip, at a robust 70 frames-per-second. The developer has also adapted many of the campaign’s moments, either enhancing the interactivity or taking care to optimize the action for PSVR2’s wider field of view.

But perhaps most importantly, developer Meta4 Interactions has painstakingly incorporated haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This, according to the team, actually improves gameplay: for example, originally, the direction of incoming gunfire was indicated using red flashes on the screen – but now it’s built into the headset to communicate potential danger. Using In Rumble.

The game is out now on PS5, where it will set you back £19.99/$24.99. Will you be getting your PSVR2 headset ready to fight alongside the Autobots? Change in the comments section below.
