Battlefield 2042 is a title that’s no stranger to bugs, with the latest in the long-running shooter series having been brought back at launch. Still, it came as a bit of a surprise when DICE had to take the much-coveted Liquidators mid-season event offline about 30 minutes after launch after discovering the mode’s progression system wasn’t working.

Hardly the most inspiring way to start, but issues Now solved, and the game mode will run until October 25. Liquidators is a tight, infantry-based mode with a smaller number of players for a more strategic victory experience. Players can unlock an exclusive skin by playing, but the others offered remain behind a paywall, unfortunately. One step forward, one step back.
