Callisto Protocol is shaping up to be a great time for horror fans when it launches in December, and as such it may scratch that survival-horror itch we all get from time to time. In a new Interview with MP1 via EDGEBigwig Glenn Scofield of Striking Distance Studios discusses the game’s length and how alternate paths to its conclusion add replay value.

On the matter of playtime, Scofield mentioned that Callisto Protocol is “trending toward 12 to 14 hours” and that the so-called “beta path” during post-game actions gives players a chance to grind for content in addition to replay value. will add, noting “They came later in the game, but some of them are pretty cool. And we don’t tell you where they are or how much they are. But if you really dig, it’s long it can.”

Schofield hopes these beta paths will “encourage dialogue between players who took different paths to completion”. Well, give us interesting colors!

What do you think of Callisto Protocol’s stated game length? The original Dead Space was 13ish hours long for the main story and some optional content (according to HowLongtoBeat), so it seems right to us. Let us know in the comments section below.
