Callisto Protocol’s Glenn Schofield explains Sony’s role in the development
More than 150 Sony employees are credited with helping bring Callisto Protocol to life, as the Japanese giant’s Visual Arts and Services group collaborated on the game’s cinematics. However, this has not stopped conspiracy theorists from arguing that this is the reason behind the better performance of the release on the PS5, compared to other systems, such as the Xbox Series X|S.
Some comparison articles have presented the new-gen PlayStation console as the superior system for playing survival horror, but the larger Glenn Schofield has clarified Which has nothing to do with Sony’s involvement with the game: “The credit goes to the Sony guys because we worked with them on performance capture for our cinematics. They did not do any extra work on the game.
For those who don’t know, PlayStation’s VASG division supports a variety of first-party and third-party projects, and also works with Sony Pictures when needed. In this instance, as Scofield points out, the platform holder assisted with motion capture – but did not add any additional development to the game. We are sure that all versions of the release will be patched to improve performance over time.
