Concerns Are Growing Over Persona Dev’s Metaphor: Refantazio Being An Xbox Exclusive

But here’s the thing: additional platforms for Metaphor: Refantazio haven’t been announced yet, and we’re now beyond the limits of the usual ban. As such, there is growing concern that Atlus’ next big thing may actually leave the PlayStation.

Let’s not jump to conclusions just yet, though. It’s worth noting that there was no mention of the out-and-out feature before Metaphor’s Xbox trailer, only that it was coming on the first day of Game Pass, and that the video was a world premiere. What’s more – and it seems this has gone largely unreported – Atlus will be hosting a Japanese livestream for Metaphor on June 20th. It’s entirely possible that the ban for this particular title is set to lift in time for the stream, where other platforms can be confirmed.

Although it shakes, there is no doubt that Microsoft’s media restrictions are once again causing some confusion – which at least means they are effective, we believe. As it stands, we will just have to wait and see how things unfold.
