Crystal Dynamics Hear You ‘Loud and Clear’, Can Series Legacy Looks Set to Make a Return

It looks like the Legacy of the Can series could be set to make a comeback, some 19 years after the last entry was released. After purchasing the venerable vampire IP in recent months, developer Crystal Dynamics polled fans on whether or not they’d like to see the series return, and what form that return should take. The answer, perhaps unsurprisingly, was a resounding ‘yes’.

More than 100,000 people responded to the survey, and of that number, more than 70,000 people completed it completely. Apparently, when video game companies put out questionnaires like this, they’re lucky to get a couple thousand respondents at best, so that’s a sign that the legacy of Kann fandom is alive and well. is

As transcribed by VGCCrystal Dynamics CEO Phil Rogers said during Embrace Group’s recent earnings call that “We shared news of our survey across social and press platforms, and we really felt that it was a great PC and console with this passionate fan community. was a great way to revive the game series. In case you didn’t know, the series started with Blood Omen: Legacy of Cain, which was released on the PS1 in 1996.
