The epic anime-fueled return of Cyberpunk 2077 has smashed yet another impressive milestone, with the once-maligned RPG smashing the same-day concurrent player record set by its wildly popular predecessor, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. That’s an impressive feat, especially when you consider the state the game was launched in almost two years ago.
Industry analyst Benji-Sales noted the achievement after Cyberpunk 2077’s concurrent Steam player count of 103,329 departed just north of The Witcher 3’s all-time peak.
This upward trend continued as a combination of Edgerunner’s positive buzz, half-price sales on Steam, and the fact that weekends are scientifically the best time to play video games saw the numbers climb to record highs. continued to grow
