Dark Picture: Switchback VR now out in March, misses the PSVR2 launch

Supermassive Games has decided to push The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR out of its original release date of February 22, 2023, alongside PSVR2. Instead, it will now arrive a few weeks later on March 16, 2023. The studio says the delay is so the virtual reality title can get more polish in the lead-up to release.

Dubbed the developer’s “most ambitious VR project to date,” the game will span five on-rails worlds full of spooks and horrors, including Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. “Thank you for all your encouragement and patience – it really means the world to us,” read a statement published on Twitter. “We can’t wait to reveal more about our terrifying rollercoaster from hell and watch this space for our new gameplay featurette video coming soon.”

Although this is a blow to the launch of PSVR2, there are still games like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Fantavision 202X, and Kayak VR: Mirage to look forward to. Will you still be buying the Switchback VR after a few weeks? Let us know in the comments below.
