Deathloop free update to add new weapon, ability, extended ending, more

As leaked yesterday, Deathloop is indeed headed to Xbox, and will debut on PS Plus Xtra with the game’s appearance on Day One. It’s September 20th, so only a few days away. On the same day, however, all versions of Arcane FPS will receive a free content update called Goldenloop.

This update makes some interesting additions to the game. Perhaps most intriguing is the promise of an “extended” ending, though of course we don’t know any details about that. A Blog post Tells us about other new bits and pieces, including a new weapon: the HALPS prototype, which fires a continuous laser that can be reflected off security cameras and turrets.

There is a new ability called Fugue to Master. This will send enemies into a temporary frenzy, confusing them briefly so you can slip away. It will have four discoverable upgrades that enhance it further. There are also four new upgrades to find Juliana’s Masquerade ability, which previously had none.

Paint-bombers are a new enemy type that will charge at you covered in colorful explosives. Finally, 2-in-1 trinkets are being added, combining the abilities of two previous trinkets into one, giving you more flexibility in your loadout.

Again, this Goldenloop update hits all versions of Deathloop on September 20th. Are you interested in checking out these additions? Let us know in the comments section below.
