You’ll be commanding a Class 43 HST as well as a Class 158, so expect some variety in the timetable you’ll be tasked with. Note, the latter were originally built at the Derby Litchurch Lane works in the early 90s, so this expansion pack has a little extra home-grown appeal.

Skyhook Games created the DLC, and lead developer Tom Foster explained: “The Class 158 was built from chassis up for the Midland Main Line. Every loco is a unique animal, and it was important for us to get the details right. Not just the visuals, but the feel as well. However, we have tried to make people accessible not only to superfans [of Train Sim World], but also ordinary enjoyers. We hope you enjoy playing them as much as you enjoy riding them!”

We’ve actually traveled this particular route dozens of times, so while we’re not as familiar with it as the various stops in and around Birmingham New Street, we should be able to recognize many of the stations. is The add-on is due out on April 18, and will include all the usual content, including a full schedule, scenarios, and several sets of collectibles.
