Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Gameplay Leak Shows Action Combat, Gray Warden Headquarters
Early gameplay footage from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has surfaced online, highlighting the game’s new action-based combat system. According to previously leaked details, you’ll only be able to control the main character in fights, while your existing party members back you up – similar to how Mass Effect plays.
This latest leak shows the player hero running around with a sword and shield, dodging some attacks, blocking others, and performing a two-legged kick on a dark spawn. The camera, meanwhile, is placed directly behind the character, not panning too far over their right shoulder – immediately drawing comparisons to the likes of 2018’s God of War.
All of this takes place inside what appears to be Weshopt, by the way. Fans may know the name, as it is a location that has been mentioned in previous titles. It’s actually the headquarters of the Gray Wardens, with leaked footage suggesting that, at one point during the campaign, you’ll be defending the castle from a Darkspawn attack.
Honestly, it all looks pretty promising, although this leak reinforces recent reports that Dreadwolf still has a long way to go in terms of development. Hopefully we get to see some official gameplay in the Note Also distant future
