Farming Simulator 22 Free PS5, PS4 competitive multiplayer modes will grow on you
Farming Simulator 22, not content with being a wonderful Zen-like agricultural sim, is slowly transitioning into a fully competitive eSport as well. For those of you not following the giants software favourite, Farming Simulator League is already in its fifth season – and now new competitive multiplayer modes have been added to the PS5 and PS4 versions for free.
There are two modes to try: the fun bale stacking and the more strategic arena. The former, a six player mode, doesn’t require a genius to understand: you’ll be tasked with “stacking square bales of straw on a trailer while a timer ticks down”. This is high-pressure stuff: one wrong move and your stack could come crashing down.
Arena, however, is the deeper and more strategic of the two options: “Two teams, each consisting of three players, compete for the highest score by harvesting wheat, pressing the bales, and delivering them to their barn. . Additional layers of strategic gameplay are ensured by a pick and ban phase, random power-ups, and multiple strategic approaches possible.
Interestingly, if you’re worried about getting exposed to farming experts, there’s also a training mode available for Arena that you can try out on your own. Both of these options are now available for free in the console versions of the game, so check them out if you have a copy. Do you think these new methods will grow on you?
