Forspoken PS5 patch will address performance, graphics and more as dev remains ‘committed’

Given how busy February’s release schedule is, you’d be forgiven for forgetting Forspoken , which was released a few weeks ago to a somewhat lukewarm reception. At least from our perspective, the conversation surrounding the game seemed to drop off a cliff just days after launch, and Square Enix gave no indication of what was next for Frey and his magical adventures.

Fortunately, if you’ve been waiting for an update of any kind, we’ve got one now. Director Takeshi Aramaki has released a statement on social media, confirming that an update is in the works. The patch will apparently feature “improvements to overall performance, graphics, playability, and general updates and fixes.”

Aramaki also emphasized that the team is “committed to making Forspoken the most enjoyable experience possible”. There’s no word yet on when this patch will be released, but we can’t imagine it’s too far off.
