Future Dredge updates include free content, paid DLC
Fishing title turned nightmare Dredge will be continuously updated throughout the year with free content packs and a paid DLC at the end. As detailed at The PlayStation Blog, markers will be added to the in-game map as well as a photo mode and a cool wildlife experience over the next few months. Later this year, you’ll be able to customize your boat with new flags and colors for the ship.
The most important addition, however, will be a paid expansion revolving around the Ironhaven Corporation. “They are trying to set up an innovative drilling operation in the area to revitalize the towns and the population, but their ultimate goal is unknown,” explains Nadia Thorne of Black Salt Games. “As you collect materials to build new buildings and biometers to fuel the rigs, meet new characters, craft new equipment, and catch new fish, you’ll uncover the secrets behind their potentially nefarious actions. can reveal the truth.”

More information on all four updates will be revealed in the coming months. Released at the end of March 2023, Dredge has made a name for itself as one of the most popular indie games of the year so far. These upcoming content packs will keep fans coming back for more fishing — an experience we rated 7/10 in our Dredge PS5 review. “Despite any rocky waters, however, Dredge’s rewarding progress and enjoyable premise keep it going.”
