God of War Ragnarok Cleans Up at DICE Awards, Alden Ring Picks Game of the Year

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences just held its annual DICE Awards ceremony, considered one of the industry’s most prestigious awards ceremonies. Looking at the games released in 2022, it’s all the usual suspects taking home trophies, with God of War Ragnarok claiming the most wins.

Sony’s sequel received a total of seven awards recognizing its achievements in animation, art direction, music, audio design, and story. It also won Outstanding Achievement in Character (Kratos) and Adventure Game of the Year.

It’s not the only Sony game to win something, though; Gran Turismo 7 scooped the Racing Game of the Year, though admittedly it was a weaker category this time around. All around, though, a good result for Sony.

Alden Ring also saw many trophies. It won Game of the Year in Game Design and Game Direction, as well as Outstanding Technical Achievement, RPG of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement.
