Gran Turismo 7 Officially Releases Massive PS5, PS4 1.31 Update, Details Out Today

Update: After last night’s accidental leak, Sony has officially detailed the big PS5, PS4 1.31 update for Gran Turismo 7. All the details you see below have now been confirmed, but we also got a look at the new cars being added to the game. free

They are Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM ’19, Porsche 959 ’87, Porsche Carrera GTS (904) ’64, and Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge ’18. The patch goes live tonight at 10pm PST, or 6pm BST in the UK.


Original story: Polyphony Digital seems to have Posted the patch notes by mistake Ahead of this week’s Gran Turismo 7 update, the racing simulator reveals another interesting list of additions and features set for it. Available this Thursday on PS5 and PS4, VRR support is coming, allowing compatible 4K TVs to run the game at up to 120 frames-per-second. There will also be five new cars – as confirmed over the weekend – endurance layouts for the Nürburgring, and other events.

The patch notes then continue with two more menus and adjustments to finish times that reflect physics changes for missions, licenses, and circuit experiences. We also got a tease of a future update in April: 2023 Super Formula cars from Japan. A changelog for the 1.31 update can be seen in tweet below

The developer has been constantly updating Gran Turismo 7 since its PS5, PS4 launch in March 2022, but since then PSVR2 Patch dropped, the wealth of content Polyphony Digital is adding to the game only seems to be increasing. Don’t forget you still have a few days left to try out the racer’s supernatural AI Gran Turismo Sophie, available as a limited-time event until the end of this month.
