Guilty Gear Strive set a new development roadmap, a balance patch, for December
Arc System Works has shared an updated development roadmap for Guilty Gear Strive, which lays out more defined release windows on future updates as well as the rest of the Season 2 DLC characters.
With the new fighter Sin Kiske only being released last week, the game’s next update drops in December. This is when cross-play functionality is being added (allowing PlayStation users to match players on PC), and it’s coming with a network update. And A balance patch. It’s safe to say that the holidays are going to be a big deal for Strive fans.
Looking ahead to the new year, the next DLC character – whose identity is unknown – will land in March. And then, the final DLC fighter of Season 2 is set for May. It seems like quite a wait, but at least we have a better idea of when to expect all these updates.

Of course, 2023 is shaping up to be a busy year for fighting games. Street Fighter 6 is expected to launch sometime in the first half of the year, so Guilty Gear Strive is going to have some fierce competition when it comes to keeping players’ attention.
Are you still playing Guilty Gear Strive? Are these DLC characters being released too late? What do you want from a balance patch? Beg for some lovers in the comments section below.
