Instant character swapping in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is unlimited in the open world

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’ll be playing as Peter Parker and Miles Morales throughout the adventure. The two superheroes have a lot in common but, as we saw in a recent gameplay demonstration, they also have unique powers and abilities. The demo showed how fast switching between characters would be, and while it was a scripted event in a story mission, the open world would let us chop and change as we saw fit.

talked to Eurogamer, creative director Brian Intihar detailed how character swaps work in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 . “When you’re playing the main story, we control when you switch between Pete and Miles… it’s done in service of the story when we” He’s redoing the switches, definitely. ,” he says. “You’ll be able to freely switch between them with a simple button press — in the open world.”

He adds that rapid character swapping in the open world is “really, really cool”, and something they “wouldn’t have explored before”. This probably boils down to the fact that this is the first Spider-Man title that is exclusive to the PS5, with no PS4 version limited.
