Lords of the Fallen is shaping up to be a truly amazing PS5 stunner

There may have been confusion over its name, but now that we know it’s settled on the Lords of the Fallen moniker (again), we can safely say that the sequel-cum-reboot The -cum-remake-cum-reimagining looks absolutely amazing. No, we as a matter of fact That said – this gameplay showcase is ridiculously impressive, showcasing the duality of the release’s world and its stunning visuals.

The really interesting mechanic here, possibly only possible in new-gen consoles with uber-fast SSDs, is the way that each location has two versions. Die in the foreboding world of Axiom and you’ll be sent to the even more harrowing Umbral, where the enemies get more and more aggressive the longer you spend there.

Presumably this will all play out in a campaign structure, as you’ll need to transition between two areas to progress and solve puzzles. In fact, you’re able to access the Umbral any time you like – but you’ll have to give up one of your two lives to do so. Additionally, you’ll be equipped with a lamp that will allow you to manipulate both worlds in various ways – and power up attacks.

It actually looks like, as a matter of fact Good – like, surprisingly. What are your thoughts on Lords of the Fallen as it approaches its October 13th release date? Impressive, right?
