Marvel’s Avengers will add War Machine to PS5, PS4 for free before departure

There’s still a little life left in Marvel’s Avengers, but the pulse is faint right now. Crystal Dynamics is keen to celebrate the release before it goes offline for good on September 30, though, and it’s giving away a free War Machine skin for anyone who’s stuck around. Technically, it’s an Iron Man skin rather than an entirely new character, and will be available with the ‘Variable Threat Response Battle Suit’ update v2.8, which is being billed as the release’s final hurrah. There were also plans to include She-Hulk and Captain Marvel in the game – dialogue for both was found in the game code – but the title failed to find an audience, and its lifespan has been shortened as a result.
