Activision has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players can look forward to the first season of the two titles of content. Starting on November 16, 2022 — the release date of Warzone 2 — Modern Warfare 2 users will get two new maps, a fourth co-op mission called High Ground, and the CDL moshpit. Shared with Warzone 2, there are two more operators in Gaz and Klaus as well as two new assault rifles to unlock.
Exclusive to Warzone 2 is the new Al Mazrah map, which has 18 points of interest. There’s a new gulag — now two vs. two — new vehicles, and tons of gameplay features to get to grips with. You will now be able to swim underwater and engage in combat, proximity chat is being implemented, you can interrogate downed players to gain intel, a new purchase station system has been added, And there will be a third-person playlist.
Both games will once again share the Battle Pass, which is based around a new system where you commit to unlocking groups of items instead of following a set path of 100 tiers. They will have another new operator and two more guns inside.
For a special operator event around the World Cup, PSG forward Neymar Jr. will be available from 21 November 2022. Paul Pogba will join the game four days later, and then Lionel Messi will close out the Modern Warfare FC event on November 29. You will need to pay to gain access to any of them.
The maps leading up to Modern Warfare 2 are fan favorite Shoot House and Shipment. The former will be available on day one while the latter will come during the middle of the season. The game will also be considered in a new mode called DMZ, which is said to be similar Escape from Tarkov.
