Motive Studio is keen on ‘Exploring Dead Space More’
The Dead Space remake on PS5 appears to be a slam dunk, earning High critical acclaim across the board, and we thought it was pretty cool. Fans, at least according to our polling, are very excited for the whole Necromorph thing, it seems. So it’s great to hear that EA’s Motive Studio is interested in “exploring Dead Space further,” possibly with a remake of Dead Space 2, or a new dream entirely.
Talking to British GQSenior and creative directors Phil Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oreola were asked if they had ideas for the future, to which Ducharme replied “Definitely, it is, it’s a hope that there’s interest on our side. And I think in Roman’s favor. – You can see his smile – in exploring more of Dead Space. There are ideas, that’s for sure.”
But any potential next project will have to wait at least a little longer. Ducharme notes that “we’re wrapping up this week, we’re going to make sure the launch goes as smoothly as possible and there are as few technical issues as possible. We’re going out on vacation and Then we’ll sit down. Down and we’ll have those discussions within EA to say, ‘Okay, what’s next?’
Are you excited by the prospect of more Dead Space? Would you like Dead Space 2 to get the remake treatment, or would you like to see a new direction, perhaps one in which Dead Space 3 is no longer canon and we don’t have to think about it again? Let us know in the comments section below.
