The PS5 is actually rolling now! Sony topped the US hardware chart a Third Consistently outselling the Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in both dollars and units, month after month. The company has managed to improve on a large scale PS5 stock As of late, and while the system may still take a bit of effort to find, it’s clear that it’s much more available than it is now.

Unfortunately, the success of new-gen consoles hasn’t been enough to offset declines elsewhere, and so the hardware is down 10 percent year-over-year. Despite this, total consumer spending is flat compared to 2021, totaling $4.3 billion through October 2022 – arguably a good result, considering inflation and other issues currently affecting the economy.

In terms of new releases, it should come as no surprise to see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at the top of the charts, where it will likely remain for the foreseeable future. Gotham Knights did very well in second place, and Persona 5 Royale got a huge boost off the back of its PS5 re-release – and, of course, coming to other platforms.
