Our Last Season 2 Will Be Some Time, ‘End of 2024, Start of 2025’ Says Bella Ramsay

The Last of You season one has now run its course, and has been a huge success for the PlayStation production. In fact, a second season was given the thumbs up long before the first ended, and so we’ll definitely be seeing more of Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsay as Ellie in the future. How far into the future, though? Ramsay thinks that will happen a few years from now.

Speaking to Jonathan Ross on his talk show, the actress speculated that The Last of You season two won’t be with us until “late 2024, early 2025.” It will “take a while”, she says. Apparently, filming for the new episodes will likely begin “late this year, early next.”

So, if you’re hoping for another HBO take on The Last of You next year, you might be out of luck. It’s been a long wait for the follow-up season, which will begin charting the events of The Last of Us: Part II. We’ve also heard that the game could take at least two seasons to get a sequel, so all being well, we could end up with at least three seasons.
