Precursor to Sons of the Forest success rocket to the top of the European PS4 charts

Sons of the Forest is currently a phenomenon on PC, having sold over $2 million worth of copies in its first 24 hours on the market. A PlayStation iteration has yet to be announced but we imagine one must be in the works if only because of the popularity of its predecessor, 2018’s hell-filled survival game The Forest, enjoyed last month.

The PS4 iteration of The Forest is rated as The third most downloaded game on the platform in Europe (beating out Megalith The Last of Us: Part II and the perennially popular Minecraft), and eighth in the US. The Forest itself has sold an impressive 5 million since launch, and can regularly be found at a discounted price.

Sons of the Forest was released into Early Access on February 23rd, which makes this feat even more impressive, having launched so late in the sales cycle, and not being a final product to boot.
