PS Store Sales Chart: Mixed results for new PS5, PS4 games like Crisis Core, Midnight Suns

Sony’s latest look at PS Store The sales chart for the month of December 2022 revealed that not every new PS5, PS4 game sold that well digitally on its online marketplace. While Callisto Protocol fared well in the USA, Canada and Europe at number six, Marvel’s Midnight Suns was number one in the USA. and only peaked at number 14 in Canada and did not chart at all in Europe.

Other PS5, PS4 titles from last month include Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, which came in at 10th place across all regions as Sony tracks. The results were better for Need for Speed ​​Unbound, however, which placed eighth in the US and Canada, but then fourth in Europe. The new PS5 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gave the RPG a boost in sales in the United States and Canada – 13th and an impressive fifth in Europe – while stalwart Alden Ring hovered around the bottom end of the top 10.

In terms of the best-selling digital PS5, PS4 games for December 2022, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and FIFA 23 dominated the top two spots on both platforms, handing out the winner’s medal between regions. The free-to-play chart is made up of the usual suspects: Fortnite, Warzone 2, Overwatch 2, and Rocket League. Meanwhile, Beat Saber and Job Simulator were the best-selling PSVR titles. It will be interesting to see what that chart looks like once PSVR2 hits town next month.
