Sony’s systems could be weeks away from getting real mario kart Opponents Well, maybe not – no amount of blue shells will slow down Nintendo’s perennial arcade racing titan, but Disney Speedstorm at least looks like it. very much fun Following the same release model as animal crossing-esque Disney Dreamlight Valley, developer Gameloft is rolling out paid early access starting April 18.

So, what is drama? Well, there are three founder packs available, each containing access to the full game and a bunch of in-game content to boot. For the sake of convenience, we’ve outlined your options below:

Standard Founder’s Pack ($29.99/£24.99)

  • Early access to Disney Speedstorm
  • 2 racers unlocked
  • Unlock additional racers of your choice
  • 4,000 tokens
  • 2 Golden Pass credits
  • 3 special racing suits and livery
  • The ideal and incarnation of the particular founder

Deluxe Founder’s Pack ($49.99/£39.99)

  • Early access to Disney Speedstorm
  • 2 racers unlocked
  • Unlock additional racers of your choice
  • 4,000 tokens
  • 2 Golden Pass credits
  • 3 special racing suits and livery
  • The ideal and incarnation of the particular founder

Ultimate Founder’s Pack ($69.99/£54.99)

  • Early access to Disney Speedstorm
  • 5 racers unlocked
  • Unlock additional racers of your choice
  • 12,000 tokens
  • 3 Golden Pass credits
  • 6 exclusive racing suits and liveries
  • The ideal and incarnation of the particular founder
  • Parts of the cart for Donald

If you pre-order any of the Founder’s Packs, you’ll also unlock some bonus cosmetics for Donald Duck, including a Tuntec kart livery and an early bird racing suit. For additional racer unlocks, you can choose from: Blue, Belle, The Beast, Elizabeth Swann, Shang, or Mowgli. And, of course, this is a live service game, so expect it to expand over time with new characters, karts and race courses.

Personally, we’re not too fond of the overly serious art style – we think something more colorful would suit the Disney theme. But the gameplay looks good, and it definitely has the potential to fill the gaping kart racer void on PS5 and PS4.
