PSA: Watch out for Gods of War Ragnarok spoilers on your own PS5 or PS4

God of War Ragnarok released just a few days ago, but that obviously hasn’t stopped some people from racing to the end of the game. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but there is An issue when those players start uploading massive spoilers to websites like YouTube. And now, those YouTube videos – complete with spoiler thumbnails – can actually be posted directly to your PS5 or PS4.

Many of you are reading this, but just in case: when you hover over a game that’s installed on your console, you’ll be presented with an assortment of related content. This hub usually includes things like any relevant DLC pages or trailers – but it can also throw things like livestreams and YouTube videos into the mix.

This can be particularly bad news on the PS5, where the system’s dedicated ‘Explore’ tab will show you all sorts of content related to the games you’re playing. As in, many push square Readers have contacted us to say they’ve been hit with War of Ragnarok spoilers as they finally settle in for their first weekend of the epic Norse adventure.

It is a real shame that it can happen, but there is Way to stop it altogether – at least on PS5. To limit the games you actually see through the Explore tab, you can select the ‘Followed Games’ option on said tab, and then uncheck God of War Ragnarok – or any other titles that You do not want additional information about If you want to avoid the Explore tab altogether, you can go to your PS5’s Settings menu, go to ‘Saved Data’, ‘Followed Games’, ‘Manage Followed Games’, and then unfollow from there. can
