PSN license issues prevent PS5, PS4 owners from playing their games

Update: According Official website of Sony, the PSN license issue has been resolved. However, many are still facing problems, their catalog of digital games being unplayable. One solution we’ve come across is to completely reboot your console, which worked overnight for our very own Robert Ramsey.

Original story: A widespread issue with PSN, which has occurred before, appears to prevent PS5 and PS4 owners from playing their games. While this is not an obstacle everyone’s experience, many on social media are reporting that they’ve been locked out of their games – or can’t get them to boot to begin with.

The most common error reads: “The content cannot be used. Could not connect to the server to verify your license. Please wait for a while and then try again.”

As we alluded to at the top of this article, this has happened before, and is usually caused by a hiccup in Sony’s servers that prevents content from being properly authorized. The Japanese giant has at least, Immediately acknowledged the issue: “You may have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” it said in a statement.
