PSVR2 Splat Spiders killing it with fire crawls on PSVR like never before
Arachnophobes, you may want to skip this article. Kill It With Fire, a game about hunting and crushing spiders with ridiculous weapons, is already available on PS4 – but it will soon be taken to a new dimension. Yes, developer Casey Donnellan Games has announced that it’s bringing the arachnid-eradication title to virtual reality, and that includes both PSVR and the upcoming PSVR2.
By and large, the game will be identical to its flat-screen version. From a first-person perspective, you’ll hunt for eight-legged bugs in various locations, arming yourself with whatever comes to hand. Starting with things like a frying pan, you’ll gradually unlock more and more deadly weapons that will ensure those darn spiders meet their maker. In VR, you’ll be placed inside these spaces and can fend off the spiders yourself.
“Fans have been asking for the VR version [the game] Says developer Casey Donnellan alone on Kill It With Fire, from the first footage of the actual game. “I’m really happy that we can finally put creepy spiders on the screen less than an inch from the players’ eyes!”
The game will launch on PSVR and PSVR2 sometime in 2023 for $14.99 / €14.99. Are you swatting spiders in VR, or does the thought give you the creeps? Let us know in the comments section below.
