There’s a very, very good chance Sucker Punch Productions has a PS5 sequel to Ghost of Tsushima in development, but according to Jeff Grubb, it won’t be one of Sony’s big announcements for next week. Not based on his own personal predictions, it appears that Grubb receives a tip-off from the source while on the air. Earlier in the podcast, co-host Mike Minotti suggested a Ghost of Tsushima sequel during the livestream, to which Jeff Grubb agreed. So, it seems safe to say that an external source has tuned in and attempted to provide additional information to Grub. “Going back to the PlayStation Showcase, I’ve probably smelled two things that won’t be there, if that helps anyone. It doesn’t look like Ghost of Tsushima 2 will be there,” he says.
As one of the original sources with a PlayStation showcase set to take place in the coming weeks, Grub currently has a proven, reliable track record for accurate reporting. So, it might be worth tempering any expectations you might have for a ghost of a Tsushima-related revelation during next week’s show.
