Rumor: Unannounced Sony hardware in the works, releasing ahead of the PS5 Pro

of the usually reliable Tom Henderson Insider Gaming has thought we could see some sort of new hardware from Sony soon, even sooner than the rumored PS5 Pro, if you can believe such a thing.

Henderson points out Another piece of Sony hardware is coming down the pipeline in a fresh streamStating: “There is another piece of Sony hardware that will be released before this [PS5] Pro I have the possibility to talk about it very soon. There’s more hardware coming from Sony than has been reported.” He later reiterated this on Twitter:

As usual, take all of this with an extra helping of salt until we get official word from Sony. Previously, Insider Gaming reported that a PS5 with a detachable disc drive is also in the works, so if it’s all shown to be real, we could be swimming in a PS5 iteration, perhaps even peripherals. Some kind of PlayStation wearable, perhaps, a stylish watch that integrates with PS Stars? Your guess is as good as ours.
