WayForward has announced that it is bringing an upgraded version of the survival horror classic Clock Tower to the PS5 in early 2024. It’s still the original Japanese SNES version — it’s not a remaster or remake — but it will pack updated animations and cutscenes, a bonus art gallery, and save states. Watch the announcement trailer above, officially translated and released in the USA and Europe for the first time.
A digital version will be available at PS Store, and then a physical version will follow later courtesy of the limited run games. More details, including pre-order windows, will be shared soon.
As for Wayford’s improvements to Clock Tower, the official PR reads: “Using the power of the limited run games’ Carbon Engine, this new version of Clock Tower retains the authentic gameplay, graphics and sound of the original version.
