A handful of buyers of the God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition are reporting that their copies have arrived without the digital PS5, PS4 download code they were promised. Instead, they’ve sent two lots of bonus DLC content for the game that gives you ice armor for Kratos and Atreus. Since the Collector’s Edition does not include a physical disc, buyers are left with one of the most expensive versions of the title, but unable to actually play it.
Buyers of the Jotnar Edition are also reporting problems surrounding a missing steelbook, with documented problems on a Twitter account Name given GOW Collector’s Edition Crash. Two reports suggest that they both pre-ordered the game from Target and are missing the all-important download code.
Twitter users @Kabuku Posted: “Received my collector’s edition of #GodofWarRagnarok a little early. Only digital voucher code was for the snow tunic armor. Nothing else. Ordered through Target, but they don’t make the different editions themselves. .” A different one Reddit thread Also made to report the issue of getting two DLC codes instead of the game itself.
The Collector’s Edition retails for £179.99/$199.99 while the Jotner Edition retails for £229.99/$259.99. While the base PS5 represents a significant price increase over the PS4 versions, it’s easy to see why customers have been disappointed by the lack of an actual game within the version they shipped.
