While Sonic Frontiers is a step in the right direction for the franchise, the game is not without its flaws. Many players are running into trouble with some remaining bugs causing crashes and other issues. Thankfully, Sonic Team has said it’s listening to feedback and will update the game for the future. Today, a new patch is out with a handful of improvements.
Update 1.10 is ready to roll out on PS5 and PS4, and it’s mostly targeting those aforementioned bugs. Game crashes, audio issues, and performance improvements are the order of the day, but the patch notes also mention UI improvements and gameplay optimizations. We don’t know exactly what they are, but it’s encouraging that these updates are aiming to improve the game as well as fix bugs.
Here are the patch notes mentioned on the PS4 version:
- Fixed random crashing bugs.
- Addressed issues related to audio.
- Added UI improvements.
- Added gameplay optimization.
- Added stability and performance improvements.
- Other minor fixes.
In our experience, there has been some junk here and there, but we haven’t had any major problems with bugs. Still, it’s always good to know a game is getting better.
